You have never left me, you have never forsaken me.
You are my Good Father,
Covering with me with your everlasting, steadfast love that will not fade but only overwhelm.
You are my humble King.
You are the only King worth serving for.
You are my Friend.
The only friend who truly understands, the only friend who truly died for me.
Jesus, I ask that you help me to fight the good fight of the faith.
To fight against my selfish desires and to fight against my self-pity.
And to fight for Your desires and fight for obedience.
Lord, I pray for wisdom rooted in Your Word that will grow beyond my years.
A wisdom that will always listens, always discerns Your heart, always obeys.
Put away my fears, fears of the future, fears of loneliness, fears of failing,
For I am Your child, a child of God.
Give me a heart to look beyond myself, to see the hurting, to see the world in pain and sin.
Give me the courage to show, speak, live Your love, so that Your name will be known.
May I be Your humble servant, never boasting in anything but in Jesus Christ.
May it be the Gospel that reminds me, frees me, and drives me.
You who is perfect came to our imperfect earth to take the place of our death so we may have a second chance.
Lord, may this new year be a demonstration of Your faithfulness.
As struggles and joys come and go, may it be a testimony of Your work.
Truly nothing can express my thanks for Your love to me.
