Identity in Christ

Summer has passed, and now, I begin another journey. I don't have much to say, except the words, "my identity is in Christ," kept repeating in my mind today. My identity isn't in my grades, isn't in my career, isn't in my family, isn't in my denomination, isn't in my age, isn't in my looks, isn't in my heritage, isn't in my reputation. My identity is founded in Jesus Christ. By His death on the cross and victory over sin: I am a new creation; I am fully forgiven, and sin is not my master; I am adopted as a child of God; I am loved and treasured; I have hope and purpose; I am empowered and strengthened by the Holy Spirit.
