"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Ephesians 3:20)
Mmm. forever. It's a word that we see and use... haha like BFF or Forever 21 (if only). But when I think about it, forever is unbelievable, unfathomable, out-of-reach. I see my grandparents who just celebrated their 60th anniversary. Their lives married together has lasted three times longer than the entirety of my life! But as crazy ridiculous as it is, I realized that even the commitment of marriage has an end -- "until death do us part." This morning, I meditate on God's commitment to us. He has been with us, working in us, for generations and generations, and WILL continue to through all generations -- transforming generations.
He will never forsake us; His love never ends; He is the Everlasting Father. Our relationship with Him does not end at death, but we get to be in His presence for eternity. Now that's crazy ridiculous.... and awesome. He is so good to us.
