I was eavesdropping in a conversation between two darling kindergarteners at church today (B - boy, G - girl):
B: I went to my fwend's house to play yestewday. He lives weally close to my house.
G: How close?
B: He lives weally close.
G: Like how many steps?
B: I think 16 steps.
Something about this made me smile in my heart. I'm not even sure what it is, perhaps the simplicity of the conversation or that distance was measured in number of footsteps. =)
"Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art.... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival. "
— C.S. Lewis
