Masai Mara!

Okay, so I apologize for not updating, but I'm behind in my own journal so here's only a quick synopsis of the safari. We drove about 7 hours to Masai Mara, which is close to the southwest corner of Kenya, by the border of Tanzania. Since pictures are worth a million words, here are some snapshots of our trip:

God just reveals his majesty and power through His creation, and it's amazing. This is only a speck on the entire universe. Although pictures are worth a million words, it's definitely not the same as seeing with your own eyes.

Okay so here's a picture of the boys from Tone La Maji ("drop of water"), one of the Koinonia Projects. It's where former street children stay for school until they're situation at home is better. I love the children here--loving, caring and just curious to know who you are. Steven gave me a simple bracelet made of 4 different colours of string, so then I won't forget him. I won't.

My good friend Steven, aka Stud. He showed me around the entire grounds. Beautiful place.

Gideon (Steven), Stud (Steven), a boy I forgot his name, and Elijah

All of these children have aspirations, and although I was a little emotional when we left, I had to remind myself that their future is in God's hands.

God is good all the time.
All the time, God is good.

D.T.

Thanks for posting your pictures... you are such a good photographer. Now I can see my daughter who is more than 8000 miles (?) away from home. Dad and I continue praying for you and the team.

Much love,
Me
